Home-y Made Meals
At the very start of the pandemic, Polo’s Pantry worked in partnership with Eayikes, a collective manifesting social connection beyond physical touch, to help create a revolutionary food distribution model, later named Home-y Made Meals. This is a 100% people-powered initiative adapted to the safety measures required during Covid-19. Within the safety and comfort of their homes, volunteers from all around Southern California prepare, deliver, and serve homemade meals every day.
Partnering with shelters and coalitions, Home-y Made Meals has moved past merely existing as a project. We are a community—a network of networks—a family founded and bounded by food.
Beyond ideating a new way of food aid during a global pandemic, Polo’s Pantry also helps to secure pantry items for volunteer cooks and connects meals to communities all over Southern California.
